Eugeni Alemany, traditional music and exhibitions star in Betxí's Cultural Week

Betxí hosts until Thursday, September 17, a new edition of its Cultural and Sports Week. The event presents a diverse program that includes humor, music, exhibitions, family activities and sports proposals in different spaces of the municipality.

Among the program highlights are Eugeni Alemany, Citra Trio, the Unió Musical de Betxí and the traditional serenades of the Rondalla. The agenda combines traditional music and cultural exhibitions for all audiences.

The Cultural Week precedes the major festivities in honor of the Santísimo Cristo de la Piedad, offering residents and visitors a sample of the region's cultural and artistic expressions before the main celebrations.

Olga Cadaval Receives a Concert Dedicated to the Viola Beiroa

The Olga Cadaval Cultural Center, in Sintra, hosts on September 17 the concert "A Viola Beiroa – Tradition and Identity of Beira Baixa", presented by the Violas EnCantadas project. Integrated into the tour of the book/disc dedicated to Beira Baixa culture, the show revisits the music, word and memory of the region, with the Viola Beiroa as protagonist, one of the oldest Portuguese string instruments. The project is composed of José Barros, Ricardo Fonseca and Fernando Deghi, who present a musical journey through the identity and tradition of Beira Baixa.
