Joaquim Diogo, president of the Town Hall of Crato, publicly expressed his position in favor of ending the judicial blockages that have affected the Pisão Dam. The mayor stated that the region shares the same interpretation expressed by the Secretary of State for Agriculture, João Moura, regarding this matter.
João Moura attended the inauguration of the Onion Fair in Portalegre, where he gave a clear guarantee: the Government will complete the Pisão Dam. The Secretary of State also stressed that there are no precautionary measures capable of stopping the project.
This statement comes at a time when the Pisão Dam project has faced legal opposition. Joaquim Diogo is now aligning with the Executive's position, demonstrating that the Town Hall of Crato fully supports the continuation of the work.
The Pisão Dam is a water infrastructure project that has been debated in the Portalegre region. The Government's commitment, expressed by the Secretary of State, aims to reassure the project's supporters and dispel the legal uncertainties that have been associated with it.
