Vorcaro paid for trips and a Disney visit for BC servers who acted as the banker's 'employees,' Federal Police indicate

The Federal Police investigate the Master case, revealed last Thursday by Minister André Mendonça, of the Supreme Federal Court. The investigation indicates that banker Daniel Vorcaro funded trips abroad for Central Bank servers, the body responsible for regulating and supervising banks and authorizing large financial operations.

The main servers involved are Paulo Sergio Neves de Souza, who held the position of deputy chief of the Department of Banking Supervision, and Belline Santana, former chief of the same department. According to investigators, both "actively defended the interests of Banco Master before the federal agency, often acting as true 'employees' of Daniel Vorcaro."

In one of the cases identified by the PF, Vorcaro would have financed a trip to Disney for Paulo Sergio and his family. Paulo Sergio himself sent Vorcaro his travel itinerary, evidencing the closeness between the public server and the banker.

The investigation demonstrates that the Central Bank servers used their positions to directly benefit Banco Master, while receiving personal advantages from banker Daniel Vorcaro, configuring a possible scheme of corruption and influence peddling within the federal agency.
