At 93 years old, Othon Bastos arrives in Méier with award-winning solo show

At 93 years old, actor Othon Bastos presents at the Centro Cultural João Nogueira (Imperator), in Méier, the solo show "I Won't Give In!", one of the most award-winning works of his career. The show has performances this Friday (11), at 7pm, Saturday, at 6pm, and Sunday, at 5pm, with tickets at R$ 20.

The solo show has already surpassed 250 performances and has been seen by over one hundred thousand spectators. The play earned Othon Bastos the Shell Award for Best Actor and the 19th APTR Award for Best Lead Actor, among other critical recognitions.

On stage, the actor revisits episodes from his over 75 years of career. The play transforms the artist's memories into a narrative about theater, cinema, work, love, and different moments of his trajectory.

The text and direction are by Flávio Marinho, a longtime friend of Othon Bastos, who transforms the actor's life story into an intense and personal theatrical experience.
