SAGG Napoli set up a living room at Serralves with their "aesthetic of the South"

The Neapolitan artist SAGG Napoli presented at Serralves the installation "If We Stay, We Stay Awake", her first exhibition in Portugal. The work consists of a living room that explores what the artist calls her "aesthetic of the South".

The installation results from a research project developed between Salento, in Italy, and Porto. The research focuses on social housing and participatory architecture, establishing a dialogue between the two locations.

The presentation at Serralves marks SAGG Napoli's debut in the Portuguese art circuit, bringing to the national audience her aesthetic approach influenced by southern Italy. The created space invites visitors to experience a reflection on ways of dwelling and communal participation.
