The emergency department of Hospital de Aveiro may receive refurbishment works before the larger expansion that was planned for the hospital unit. The president of the City Council, Luís Souto Miranda, revealed that there are indications that the Emergency Service may have a new reality in a shorter timeframe than the global expansion project.
According to the mayor, the confirmation of the refurbishment of the Emergency service would represent a very important concrete step. Luís Souto Miranda considered that this intervention would resolve a glaring deficiency felt at the hospital unit.
The president of the City Council emphasized that this possible intervention would represent a solution for an urgent need, even before the implementation of the broader expansion project planned for Hospital de Aveiro.
