A study coordinated by Passos Coelho will propose reforms to the Government and the President to unblock the Portuguese economy. The work was promoted by the Commercial Association of Porto and is in its first phase.
The main conclusion of this first phase identifies low productivity as the main blockage to economic growth in Portugal. The study also points out obstacles ranging from bureaucracy to the reduced size of national companies.
Passos Coelho is coordinating this analytical work that aims to present concrete recommendations to the authorities. The objective is for these proposals to contribute to boosting economic activity and overcoming the identified obstacles.
