Municipality of Vieira do Minho offered Workbooks to more than 900 students

SAPO Notícias11 September 2026 at 08:38

The Municipality of Vieira do Minho offered Workbook booklets to more than 900 students from 1st to 12th grade for the current school year. The measure to support families aims to reduce the financial burden associated with the beginning of the school year, ensuring that students have access to the necessary materials for the development of their academic activities.

The period designated for the collection of materials at the Municipal Council offices ended yesterday. However, students who have not yet collected their materials can do so from tomorrow at the Municipal Library Padre Alves Vieira.

This initiative is part of the support policy for families and students promoted by the Municipality of Vieira do Minho. The local authority aims to contribute to alleviating the costs that families face at the beginning of the school year, ensuring that students have the necessary resources for their educational journey.

Education continues to be one of the priorities of the Municipal Executive, which has been reinforcing support measures for the sector. This offering of school materials is part of this strategy of valuing education and addressing the needs of the municipality's families.
