Petrobras will not raise gasoline price at refineries. At the pump, drop could be 2%

Petrobras announced on Wednesday night a readjustment of R$ 0.19 per liter in gasoline sold at refineries, following the expansion of federal fuel subsidies by the government. However, the state-owned company backed down the following day and removed the increase, making the liter of fuel at the refineries R$ 0.19 cheaper. The decision to reverse the increase occurred less than a month before the first round of elections. According to estimates obtained by GLOBO, the price at the pumps for the consumer could be 2% lower. The article was exclusive for subscribers.
