Nearly 3,000 United States flags were installed on the Malibu campus of Pepperdine University to honor the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The installation covers extensive areas of the university campus.
Visitors come to the site to remember the victims of the attacks that marked the history of the United States more than two decades ago. The tribute allows moments of reflection on the impact of that day.
Pepperdine University, located in Malibu, in the state of California, serves as the annual setting for this patriotic demonstration in memory of the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in the September 11 attacks.
