King Felipe VI will participate this Friday in a ceremony paying tribute to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, which will be held at the Naval Base of Rota, in Cádiz, Spain.
The event marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks carried out in the United States and features the joint participation of Spanish and American military personnel.
The ceremony takes place at the Naval Base of Rota, a joint Spanish-American military installation located in the province of Cádiz, in southern Spain.
This type of joint tribute between the two countries reflects the close military and diplomatic relationship that Portugal, Spain and the United States maintain in the context of naval operations in the Atlantic.
