The report on Portuguese dam safety requested by the Government was considered "reassuring" by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Maria da Graça Carvalho. The document, presented yesterday, brings positive results especially regarding the country's large dams.
However, the report also identifies areas that need attention and makes specific recommendations for small dams, pointing to the need for additional safety measures in these structures.
