The second tower of the World Trade Center, the south tower, collapsed in just 10 seconds after burning for 56 minutes. The building was struck by terrorists from the Al-Qaeda organization during the September 11 attacks.
The collapse of the south tower caused the death of more than 800 people. This was one of the most devastating moments of the attacks on that date.
