Philippe Coutinho, 34 years old, will be a Santos player and will sign this Friday a contract until the end of the year with the club from Vila Belmiro. The agreement includes the possibility of extending the contract to 2027, but the player and Santos management understood that a short-term experience is better for both parties at this initial moment.

Coutinho travels this Friday morning to undergo physical evaluations before the formalization of the agreement and official announcement. The signing came from Neymar's company, of whom the midfielder is a close friend. Santos agreed to the proposal and made the move to sign him until December.

The midfielder showed excitement to return to playing after being idle for several months since leaving Vasco in February. According to the publication, his physical condition will not be an issue and he expects to be available to play within 15 days. Once fit, Coutinho would only need game rhythm.
