GD Chaves announced the hiring of Néstor Araujo, a 35-year-old Mexican central defender. The player arrives at the Portuguese club at zero cost, after finishing his contract with Club América, his previous club.

Araujo signed a contract with the Trás-os-Montes club until June 2027, which represents a commitment of two sporting seasons. The transfer was completed without transfer costs, given that the player became a free agent after the termination of his contract with the Mexican club.

With this signing, GD Chaves reinforces its defensive sector with an experienced player and Mexican international. Araujo thus joins the squad being prepared for the next season, seeking to contribute to the club's sporting objectives in the Portuguese league.
