The alert was issued due to the forecast of moderate to heavy rain in the city. According to the agency, it is not yet necessary for the population to mobilize, but residents should stay tuned for further updates. Reports sent by residents indicate that it is already raining heavily in different areas of Petrópolis tonight.
The Civil Defense meteorological bulletin forecasts cloudy skies and moderate rain during Thursday night. On Friday early morning, the forecast is for light to moderate rain, with possibility of thunder and wind gusts, with temperatures ranging between 17°C and 25°C. For Friday morning, the forecast is for absence of rain, but with moderate to strong winds.
Between Friday and Saturday, the weather should be partly cloudy and dry, with temperatures between 18°C and 28°C. Civil Defense advises residents to follow the agency's official communication channels for new information and updates on weather conditions.
