Aemet confirms the radical weather change in Castellón: from 3 degrees to 28 in the same municipality

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General10 September 2026 at 22:37

Aemet confirms a radical weather change in Castellón. The State Meteorological Agency forecasts a clear change in scenario for the province starting this Friday, September 11, with predominantly clear skies, rising temperatures and no rain in the forecast.

Castellón leaves behind the instability episode from recent days and faces a much quieter weekend. Temperatures are expected to rise significantly, going from 3 degrees to 28 degrees in the same municipality, representing a considerable thermal variation for the region's inhabitants.

The change is associated with a period of greater atmospheric stability that will affect the province during the weekend, allowing for more favorable weather conditions compared to previous days.

The city of São Paulo recorded, in just ten days, about 100 millimeters of accumulated rainfall, a volume 51.5% higher than the monthly average for September, which is 66 millimeters. The capital and regions of the state have storm forecasts through Saturday (12), caused by an extratropical cyclone formed in southern Brazil that will influence weather conditions throughout São Paulo state, including the interior and coast. Given the instability, the state government installed a crisis cabinet, with representatives from the Fire Department, Military Police, SP Águas, regulatory agencies and service providers, to speed up the response to incidents.
