A passenger was detained on Tuesday (8) after allegedly assaulting flight attendants during a United Airlines flight between Milan, Italy, and Newark, New Jersey, United States. According to a criminal complaint obtained by People magazine, the woman allegedly bit one of the employees and kicked another after the crew refused to serve her more alcoholic beverages. The episode led the commander to make an unscheduled landing in the state of Maine.
The FBI was alerted around 11:40 AM, local time, about a passenger who was not obeying the crew's orders and was allegedly assaulting flight attendants. The passenger was identified as Kristina Kedysheva, 37 years old, a Russian citizen.
According to the lead flight attendant's testimony to investigators, Kedysheva was in first class, in the front part of the aircraft, and had already received several drinks during the flight. The woman had become "noisy and aggressive" after being prevented from consuming more alcohol.
