Israel confirmed, this Thursday, the destruction of an alleged network of tunnels belonging to the Shiite group Hezbollah in the Ali Taher ridge, located in southern Lebanon. The operation took place over a week before being declared concluded.
The confirmation was made through the Israeli prime minister's office, which declared that the mission to neutralize this infrastructure attributed to Hezbollah had been successful. The Ali Taher ridge is located in the southern Lebanon region, an area historically associated with the activities of the Shiite group.
The attack falls within the context of the broader conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, which has been escalating since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip, in October 2023. This operation represents another phase of the confrontations between the two parties along the Lebanese-Israeli border.
