UMinho welcomes 2,800 new students in Braga and Guimarães

Braga TV10 September 2026 at 19:05

Around 2,800 new undergraduate and integrated master's students begin this week the welcome program at the University of Minho (UMinho) at the campuses in Braga and Guimarães. This is the first time these students attend the university, marking the beginning of a new academic cycle in their lives.

The welcome activities take place at the Gualtar campus in Braga and the Azurém campus in Guimarães, under the motto "Don't waste time". The program includes presentations of the university's organic units, offering new students the opportunity to learn about the structure and available services.

The welcome also includes various support services to help students integrate into academic life, including mentoring by older students who already know the institution and can guide them through this new phase.
