The Federal Police suspects that Federal Deputy Mário Frias and businesswoman Karina Ferreira da Gama, producer of the film "Dark Horse" about former president Jair Bolsonaro, committed crimes of diversion of federal public funds, money laundering, criminal organization and document falsification. Both deny irregularities throughout the investigation and did not comment on Thursday.
Supreme Federal Court minister Flávio Dino authorized the execution of 49 search and seizure warrants to investigate an alleged diversion of parliamentary amendments for the production of the film. The investigation was opened by Dino at the end of June, when there were already indicators of crimes such as embezzlement and fraud in bidding procedures.
According to the PF, Mário Frias had seven weapons seized during the operation that investigates the financing of the film "Dark Horse." The suspicions include diversion of federal funds and money laundering associated with the cinematographic production about Bolsonaro.
