At least five people died after a ferry fire near Palawan, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines. Another 43 people were located in the last hours, while more than 80 remain missing. The ferry was carrying 117 passengers and 17 crew members, having departed from Baseco, in Manila, bound for Coron. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, while search and rescue operations continue to locate survivors.
