Carlos Bolsonaro, candidate for Senate from Santa Catarina, used social media on Tuesday to demand that his brother Flavío Bolsonaro, presidential candidate, maintain a closer connection with their father, Jair Bolsonaro. In the post on X, Carlos criticized people from Flavío's inner circle, stating that they would not be adequately contributing to his campaign.
According to Carlos, Flavío needs to understand that his political growth and his election are due to his father, to the rejection of "cowardice," to the "misconduct" and "revelations of the modus operandi of certain sectors of the Judiciary," in addition to the "economic and social ruin" that, according to him, Lula has been bringing to the country.
The post was made days before an operation carried out by the Federal Police on Thursday to investigate the financing of the film Dark Horse, a biopic of former President Jair Bolsonaro. The operation involved searches at addresses linked to people close to Flavío Bolsonaro.
Carlos also directly criticized personas close to his brother, suggesting that these allies would be negatively influencing the presidential campaign. The case involving the financing of the film Dark Horse came to dominate the political agenda after the PF operation.
