Bars and restaurants billed 7.6% more in August, despite receiving only slightly more customers. The data collected by Sipos, a subsidiary of Sipay specialized in technological payment solutions for the Horeca sector (Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes), shows that the number of operations increased only 1.4% year-on-year. What really grew were prices, with the average ticket rising 6.2%. Thus, it is not consumption that is increasing, but rather the prices charged by establishments.
