The operation investigates the fundraising for the cinematic production.
Two of the main evangelical leaders close to the senator, Silas Malafaia and Robson Rodovalho, maintain their support for Bolsonaro but have shown concern about the effects of the investigations on the presidential race in the final stretch of the campaign.
Silas Malafaia, founder of the Assembly of God Victory in Christ, criticized the way Flavio Bolsonaro has responded to questions about the film. The pastor argues that the candidate should emphasize that he participated in fundraising but had no responsibility over the administration of the money.
Robson Rodovalho acknowledged the difficult scenario after the operation but reinforced that the alliance between evangelicals and Bolsonaro remains solid. Malafaia added that trying to attribute administrative responsibility to Flavio would be a "joke."
