The comedy "Minha melhor amiga", starring Ingrid Guimarães and Mônica Martelli, managed to surpass the one million viewers mark in just one week on screen, with revenue exceeding R$ 21 million. The feature film debuted in first place at Brazilian box offices, ending a period of six weeks of domination by "Spider-Man: A New Day" at the top of the box offices.
This was the first national production to lead the top 10 of national box office rankings in the year. The film arrived in theaters on a Thursday, being shown in 1531 screens distributed across 436 cities throughout Brazil.
The numbers achieved placed "Minha melhor amiga" in the position of biggest release in the history of national audiovisual. The comedy surpassed the previous record of "Minha mãe é uma peça 3", also a comedy starring Paulo Gustavo, which had been released in 1456 screens in 327 Brazilian cities.
