Dean Roy is only 15 years old and is the first candidate under 18 to appear on a ballot in the United States. The young man is running for governor of the state of Vermont, facing all the legal limitations that his age imposes on him.

By law, Dean Roy cannot drink alcohol, is not old enough to drive alone, and in some American states, would be subject to a "curfew" imposed on minors. Despite these restrictions, the teenager decided to move forward with his political candidacy.

The 15-year-old wants to be governor of the USA and believes that his participation in the elections demonstrates that even the youngest can have a voice in the political process. His inclusion on the ballot represents a historic milestone in American democracy.
