Fifteen people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) arrived at the Obradoiro Square, in Santiago de Compostela, culminating a pilgrimage full of symbolism and claims. The arrival took place amid applause, hugs and tears, a moment of great emotion for the participants. In addition to the fifteen ALS patients, four people with other pathologies also completed the route.

The initiative is organized by the association Compostela and celebrates this year its sixth edition. The pilgrims departed on the 4th from Fonfría, in Pedrafita do Cebreiro, following a route that ended in the Galician capital.

During the pilgrimage, the participants were accompanied by caregivers, family members and volunteers, who provided them with assistance throughout the entire journey. The group also had the support of Guardia Civil agents of Citizen Security, the Mobile Pilgrims' Assistance Office (OMAP) and the Cavalry Squadron.
