PSP union association schedules several protests nationwide

The Association of Police Professionals (ASPP) announced today that it will carry out several protests nationwide. The PSP union association revealed that the protests include a petition and demonstrations in various regions of the country.

The ASPP demands a legally binding commitment for salary appreciation starting from the beginning of 2027. This is the condition imposed by the union to cancel the scheduled protests.

The association represents the professionals of the Public Security Police, who are the main parties involved in this mobilization. The union organization decided to proceed with these actions after not obtaining sufficient guarantees from the government regarding the appreciation of their careers.

The scheduled protests aim to pressure the authorities to ensure concrete salary improvements for police officers. If there is no legally binding commitment, the demonstrations and the petition will proceed as planned by the ASPP.
