The National Traffic Council (Contran) has again extended the validity deadline of the National Driver's License (CNH) for drivers with expired documents between June and December. The measure was taken exceptionally.
This is the second time Contran extends the validity period of documents exceptionally. The first extension had already been granted previously for the same period.
With the extension, affected drivers do not need to immediately renew their CNH while the measure is in effect. The extension applies specifically to those whose license expired during the period from June to December.
The Contran decision aims to accommodate the situation of drivers who had difficulties renewing their documents within the regular deadline, whether due to service restrictions at traffic agencies or due to other circumstances related to the period.
