Iran publicly mocks the United States after capturing a North American military drone valued at $2.5 million. The Iranian diplomatic representation responded with irony to the capture of the unmanned device.
Iranian officials sarcastically described the captured drone as the "most advanced ghost submarine ever," an ironic reference to the technological capabilities of the North American military equipment.
Iranian diplomacy also compared the drone's arrival at the Strait of Hormuz to that of an "overly confident tourist," suggesting the device demonstrated excessive confidence while operating in that strategic zone.
The incident occurs in the context of regular tensions between Iran and the United States in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important maritime routes for oil transportation.
