Paraense percussionist and researcher Félix Robatto opened the final weekend of Rock in Rio this Friday, the 11th, bringing the music of Pará to the Global Village stage, starting at 3 PM. Born in Belém, Félix is also a guitarist, music producer, and creator of the Lambateria Festival, an event that transforms the Friday before the Círio de Nazaré, on October 9th, into a great cultural melting pot in the Paraense capital.

The performance celebrated five decades since the emergence of lambada and the 10-year history of Félix Robatto's project. The audience could expect danceable rhythms such as lambada, carimbó, and cadence-lypso, which are part of the artist's repertoire.

Félix Robatto's work represents contemporary Paraense music, built from elements of guitarrada, lambada, surf music, Latin music, and pop. The participation at Rock in Rio marks the expansion of these regional rhythms to one of the world's largest music festivals, which years ago diversified its stages beyond metal and its variations.

Gerald Murnane announced that "Border Territories" (2017) would be his last novel, but in this work the 'self' of the text becomes confused with the empirical author, the plot is scarce or non-existent, and the psychology of the characters becomes almost useless, characteristics that mark the unmistakable style of the Australian writer.
