The San Diego Comic Con Málaga convention is preparing its second edition, running from October 1 to 4 at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga (FYCMA), but without a heavyweight guest to make a difference. Last year, the first edition was marked by the presence of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who received the Honorary Award from actor Antonio Banderas and director Álex de la Iglesia, an image many consider the great photograph of the event.
This year, the organization presents over 300 hours of content, with relevant names in cinema, series, comics, animation, role-playing games, and cosplay. However, it failed to secure a cross-cutting figure comparable to the well-known action hero who marked the previous edition.
The absence of a superstar guest can be seen as a shortfall in the programming, given that events of this kind frequently depend on high-profile names to attract audiences and media attention. Still, the convention maintains a diverse offering across various areas of entertainment.
