Light informed that the Court of Rio de Janeiro ordered the closure of its judicial reorganization, after considering that the company had fulfilled the main obligations under the plan. The decision was made by the 3rd Business Court of the Capital District of the State of Rio de Janeiro, which evaluated the favorable opinions from the Judicial Administration and the Public Ministry. The special regime had been opened more than three years ago.

According to the report from the Judicial Administration mentioned in the ruling by Judge Leonardo de Castro Gomes, the main obligations of the plan were met between June 2024 and June 2026. Among the highlights are the selection of payment methods by creditors, the lump-sum disbursement to more than 27,000 debt holders with credits of up to R$ 30,000, and the issuance and delivery of the new instruments provided for in the plan.

The company also completed the restructuring of notes issued abroad and a capital increase of R$ 1.5 billion. The announcement was made through a material fact disclosed on Wednesday night (the 9th), when the company informed shareholders of the end of the special judicial reorganization regime.

Vale can debut in the Chinese debt market as early as 2026

Vale is considering entering China's bond market (panda bonds) as early as 2026, possibly following the steps of the Brazilian government. China is the mining company's main iron ore consumer, representing approximately 50% of its revenue, which makes exploring this debt market "natural," according to CFO Marcelo Bacci. The company is preparing for this operation, and the Asian country has been working to develop its domestic debt market, with the People's Bank of China expressing interest in the entry of Brazilian borrowers.
