The 167,000 retirees and pensioners of the state of Rio de Janeiro, being 110,446 retirees and 56,561 pensioners, will have to do the digital life proof starting in October, as informed by Rioprevidência. The procedure will be carried out by facial recognition, using the smartphone camera, through the official Gov.br portal, allowing beneficiaries to comply with the requirement without having to leave home.
The first insured individuals who will have to perform the Annual 2026 Digital Life Proof are the approximately 13,000 retirees and pensioners whose birthdays are in October. The deadline for this group is from October 5 to November 2, 2026. The proof sequence will continue over the following 12 months, always according to the birthday month of the retiree or pensioner.
For biometric validation and completion of the process, it is essential that the beneficiary has an account on Gov.br. The system will use facial recognition to confirm the identity of the insured individual in a fully digital manner.
