The Federal Police operation on the financing of the "Dark Horse" film caused concern in the campaign of senator and presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), who started working to contain the impact of the case three weeks before the first round of elections. The campaign's strategy is to highlight that the action, authorized by Minister Flávio Dino, investigates the use of parliamentary amendments and does not target the candidate.
At the same time, the campaign tries to keep the focus of political debate on the crisis at the Supreme Court (STF). Members of the team acknowledge that the operation has the potential to cause damage by bringing back to the news a project that had already caused concern aroundFlávio during the pre-campaign period.
There is also fear regarding the advancement of investigations into the film's financing, in which the candidate participated directly in the search for resources. The assessment is that the confrontation at the Supreme Court will continue to occupy a central space in the debate in the coming days.
