Former prime minister Sócrates returned to the court that is trying him after an absence of about a year. This was the ninth session in which the former politician spoke during his trial, which dragged on for several years.

Sócrates again accused one of the prosecutors in the case, calling him a coward. This is not the first time the former prime minister has directed personal criticism at the Public Ministry during the trial sessions.

Sócrates' trial involves various accusations related to the so-called cases that marked his term as prime minister. The politician's return to court occurred after a long period of absence from the sessions.

Sócrates' behavior during the sessions has been marked by verbal attacks on those involved in the process, with the former socialist leader continuing to maintain his posture of denial of the accusations directed at him.

Teachers will have the majority of votes to elect school principals

The Minister of Education, Fernando Alexandre, announced that teachers will have more than 50% of the votes in the election of school principals, in an ongoing review of the School Autonomy and Governance Regime.
