Chaika's physical build drew great attention online, generating a post that joked about the difficulty of throwing "that official out the window." The joke references the series of suspicious deaths of Russian officials, oligarchs and critics who allegedly fell from windows or balconies since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
Chaika is a prominent businessman and son of Yury Chaika, former Prosecutor General of Russia. He was appointed to lead Rossotrudnichestvo in April 2026. At the press conference, he appeared behind several microphones and in front of logos of Russian state media outlets, including Zvezda, Rossiya, RT and Sputnik.
