10 million euros to strengthen diagnostic and NHS response in Porto

An investment of 10 million euros was announced to strengthen diagnostic and the response to the National Health Service in Porto. This amount is intended for the creation of new infrastructure and equipment aimed at improving patient care capacity.

A new Nuclear Medicine area was created under this investment, currently performing 85% of exams for National Health Service patients. This unit allows for a significant increase in the offer of diagnostic services in this specialty.

The Integrated Diagnostic Center associated with this project has capacity to receive up to one thousand people per day. This structure aims to decongest existing health services and reduce waiting times for patients.

The investment is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the health system in the North region, seeking to guarantee faster and more efficient access to diagnostic services for the population covered by the NHS.
