Madeiran Carlo Martins, General Manager of LAM Hotel Foya Branca in São Vicente, has been honored with inclusion in the Top 50 Men in Hospitality & Tourism in Africa 2026, a selection that brings together the most prominent professionals in the hospitality and tourism sectors across the African continent.

This distinction is being widely highlighted by the Cape Verdean press, which emphasizes the international recognition achieved not only by Carlo Martins but also by the hotel he manages.

In addition to this nomination, Carlo Martins is also a candidate for the Managing Director of the Year award at the Hospitality Awards Africa, representing additional recognition of his leadership and contribution to the African hospitality sector.
