An Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1 car sneaks into the Madrid Metro: this is how the route went

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General10 September 2026 at 12:37

Oracle Red Bull Racing achieved a historic feat by making a Formula 1 car circulate through the Madrid Metro tracks for the first time. Austrian driver Patrick Friesacher was responsible for driving the RB8, the iconic single-seater equipped with a Renault RS27 V8 2.4-liter engine and approximately 750 hp of power. This vehicle was the same one with which Sebastian Vettel won his third Formula 1 World Championship in 2012. The initiative represented a great challenge of engineering, technical expertise and dexterity on the part of the team.
