The player is traveling from Copenhagen with family and his team, making connections in Lisbon and Natal-RN, with arrival expected in Rio de Janeiro still this Thursday night.

A regular starter for Copenhagen, Gabriel Pereira had been at the Danish club for three seasons, accumulating 97 matches played. Previously, the defender went through Vilafranquense and Gil Vicente, both from Portugal, before transferring to Denmark.
