Former Finance Minister Teixeira dos Santos argued that the European Central Bank (ECB) must raise key interest rates due to the significant worsening of inflation.

Teixeira dos Santos highlighted that the interest rate increase will have an impact on household budget management.

The former government official also stated that the persistent rise in energy prices should force further interest rate increases in the future.
