The Portuguese Government has created an exceptional regime for applications to intervention B.3.4 "Restructuring and conversion of vineyards" support, intended for winegrowers who suffered losses due to meteorological events recorded between 28 January and 15 February 2026. The measure falls within the scope of the National Support Programme for the Wine Sector (PEPAC Portugal).
The published ordinance defines a financial allocation of five million euros, simplified procedures and priority criteria for producers who can demonstrate losses in their affected vineyard parcels. The exceptional regime also provides for the extension of submission and decision deadlines whenever circumstances justify it, ensuring administrative flexibility in more complex situations.
The measure also establishes differentiated maximum limits of eligible area according to the location of producers' parcels. The application process takes place online through IFAP, I.P., with deadlines defined and announced by the Instituto da Vinha e do Vinho, I.P., according to information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Sea.
