Flash Talk with Predrag Poposki, Zühlke: "Salary transparency does not automatically eliminate pay disparities, but it makes them harder to ignore"

SAPO Notícias10 September 2026 at 10:10

Zühlke held a Flash Talk with Predrag Poposki, head of Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding at the company, on salary transparency in organizations. During the session, Poposki addressed the topic "Salary transparency does not automatically eliminate pay disparities, but it makes them harder to ignore," exploring the challenges companies face when deciding to adopt salary transparency practices.

According to Poposki, salary transparency has moved from being a trend to becoming a requirement from employees and the market. This means companies can no longer avoid the topic, being forced to adopt more open policies regarding the salaries they practice.

The biggest challenge identified by Poposki is not simply publishing numbers, but the ability of companies to justify existing pay differences. Organizations need to clarify career paths and demonstrate that there are objective criteria for compensation decisions.

Poposki emphasized the importance of transforming transparency into trust, noting that companies must be prepared to face employee questions and challenges. The ultimate goal is to transform salary transparency into organizational trust, which requires companies to be prepared to address employee concerns and demonstrate fairness in their compensation practices.
