The Government approved the opening of an exceptional application period for the support scheme for restructuring and conversion of vineyards, aimed at winegrowers affected by adverse weather conditions recorded between January 28 and February 15, 2026. The measure applies to the 2026/2027 wine campaign and has a financial allocation of five million euros.
The support falls under intervention B.3.4, "Restructuring and conversion of vineyards", of the National Support Programme for the Wine Sector, integrated in PEPAC Portugal. According to the Government statement, the exceptional scheme aims to support winegrowers who suffered damage to their farms during the storms recorded at the beginning of the year.
The ordinance establishes simplified procedures and selection criteria that give priority to producers whose damage to vineyard plots is duly proven. Applications will be submitted through the electronic platform of the Institute for the Financing of Agriculture and Fisheries.
