The Portuguese Farmers' Confederation warned that the national wine sector is going through a crisis and called for support for the entire country. The organization argues that it is necessary to reduce what it calls the "competitiveness gap" between Portugal and Spain.
According to CAP, Spain has been receiving significant government support for production factors, including energy, fuels, and fertilizers. This disparity in support is harming the competitiveness of Portuguese producers compared to the Spanish.
