Three municipalities in Faro at maximum fire danger

Observador10 September 2026 at 07:49

Three municipalities in the Faro district are classified at maximum fire danger. Loulé, São Brás de Alportel and Tavira are the most critical municipalities, reaching the highest level on a scale of five danger levels.

The extreme risk situation extends beyond the Faro district. More than 40 municipalities across the country present very high fire danger, the second most severe level of the classification.

Authorities are thus warning of the elevated risk of fire occurrences, particularly in these regions of the Algarve, where meteorological conditions favor the spread of fires.
