Fernando Clavijo, president of the Government of the Canary Islands, aged 55, faces the last year of his second legislative term - non-consecutive - with several pending priorities. Among these priorities are housing, autonomous financing, the new European financial framework and the demographic challenge.
Clavijo, who is also secretary general of Coalición Canaria (CC), expressed his intention to achieve a third term leading the Presidency after the May 2027 elections.
