The current president of the Valongo Municipal Council, Paulo Esteves Ferreira, and the former president José Manuel Ribeiro will learn today the judicial decision regarding a case involving both mayors.

According to the Public Ministry's accusation, the two politicians ordered in 2020 the prohibition of truck circulation on Municipal Road 606 (EM606).

The objective of this prohibition was to prevent trucks from continuing to the Sobrado landfill, leading to the closure of this infrastructure.

The case arises in the context of a dispute over waste management and the sanitary landfill in the Valongo region.
